Clamp the outboard
1. Use clamping screws
Using clamping screws, secure the outboard to the stern deck. Since the clamping screw will loosen due to the vibration of the outboard, it should be checked frequently during the operation of the outboard.
2. Use fixed steel cables or chains
If your outboard has a fixed cable loop, you should use a fixed cable or chain.
Attach one end of the cable or chain to the fixing cable collar and the other end to the installation fixing point of the boat.
This prevents the outboard from accidentally falling off the stern and falling into the water.
3. Use bolts
Use the bolts supplied with the outboard to secure the clamping bracket to the stern plate. For details, please consult the Yamaha dealer.
Notes:
Do not use bolts, nuts or washers other than outboard packaging. If to be used, they must have the same material and strength and be fully tightened.
